'Chal Jayegi… Chal Jayegi.' (Qawwali) again has nonsensical lyrics (Vimal Kashyap) and a stereotypical composition (Raju Sardar). While the bass and electric guitar are spot-on, the vocals could have been less indie. Rock song Kolkata Qutub Minar comes in a Hindi and Bengali version, both sung, composed and written by Soumyajit Banerjee. Ding Dong is a silly rustic item number from Gajendra-Vikram again, brought to life by Sonu Kakkad.

On the lines of Khaike Paan Banaraswala (Don), the Raju Sardar composition is like a typical Bhojpuri number and gets an upgrade with Udit Narayan’s lusty singing. Bihari Valentine is the best song on the album.
Lines like ‘Qayamat ka fun, yeh hai Guddu ki gun’ - by Aseem Ahmed Abbasse - are supposed to introduce the ‘lovable’ character but lack impact as does vocalist Vikram Singh’s delivery. Guddu Ki Gun by the same composers is rustic. Directed by Sheershak Anand, Shantanu Ray Chhibber, and starring Kunal Khemu, Payel Sarkar, Aparna. The vocals by Mohit Chauhan and Shweta Pandit lift it into a dreamier space. The pace and melody of the composition by Gajendra-Vikram stays even. Rehbra Ve opens the album on a mellow note. When expected to speak Urdu for it, he mumbles, “Dialogues Gulzar sahab ne likhe hai shayad.” The movie Guddu Ki Gun is directed by directed by Shantanu Ray Chhibber and Sheershak Anand, its an adult comedy movie full of witty dialogues and Dra. Kunal sneaks into a historic play dressed as Shah Jahan. He still shows what he’s capable of in probably the only funny scene of the film, which falls towards the end. The man has a good comic timing (Golmaal, Go Goa Gone) but the film lets him down. Strangely, not because it revolves around a male organ turning into gold but because the film has no substance or humour whatsoever.
Kunal Kemmu tries his best to make this dickfest watchable but it’s outright repulsive. The film can give terrible sex comedies a run for their money. The duo must dodge the greedy (sexy nurse, silly doctor, sillier don and an anxiety-ridden Bengali man) who are after the gold. Helping him in the process is a loyal friend/ sidekick (Sumeet Vyas). Enters a geeky plain Jane (Payel Sarkar, with a Gracy Singh hangover) the only ‘unattractive’ solution to his problem. The hero runs from pillar to post, to find the love of his life. In order to break the curse, Guddu must find true love and marry her. MOVIE REVIEW: Bholi’s grandfather curses the womaniser, rather his ‘gun’, turning it to gold. While sharing a room with his close friend Ladoo (Sumeet Vyas), Guddu leads an amorous lifestyle in Kolkata. He is a door-to-door washing powder salesman, whose sales pitch is 'Ek washing powder ke saath Guddu free'. Guddu’s pleasure-seeking lifestyle comes to a screeching halt, when he wakes up to a rude shock one day. Guddu Ki Gun is the tale of Govardhan aka Guddu (Kunal Kemmu), a Bihari settled in Kolkata. This hurts ‘bholi’ (Aparna Sharma), a wannabe ramp model, whose value system shuttles between puja ki thali and bikini blouses. His interest in women is limited to physical intimacy.
